[Anime] Guilty Crown

It'l all come down in the last episode... I'd like inori to be over with, but i'm pretty sure they'l figure out some sort of Hideo Kojima "nanomachines" plot in which the laws of humanity are changed and things are seriously confusing and work anyways and mana's heart gets poured out and changed into inori..

It wil probably be something rediculous like that.

I don't think Inori is going to make it. I think she will be saved from Mana, but ultimately die as it will be a self sacrifice and take out Gai permanently with her in order to safe Shu. But her song will live on.... Yeah, something cheesy like that.

Sadly, at this point I really miss Hare. I thought she might be some sort of internal "reason" for Shu as someone else who always believed in his good side.

That was.... uhhh Yeah the last episode.. Dont really know what to think of it.
Destructo was right... Rainbow flower. That was kinda a fundemental flaw of the whole adam and eve project that mana and gai didnt really think about i guess.

The show started off good, went downhill in the middle, then recovered a little near the end, and gave us a forgetable ending, while trying to set the mood with remixed versions of inori's songs.

They were celebrating Hare's birthday, so not exactly sitting around doing nothing, it had been a few years. But yeah, rather forgettable last episode and I'm not 100% sure of why everything is ok at this point, I don't quite get the resolve.

I kinda wish they would have had Ayase sitting next to Shu at the end to show that there is still feelings that can grow even after such horrific events.

But ohh well. Overall I'll give the show a 7/10 with a footnote that says it was really pretty to watch because I feel the art direction / special effects were really top notch for a Sci-fi type show.

Ending was wack.

That was a pretty weak ending, did M.Night Shamaladingdong write the last episode.
I get this feeling there will be a Guilty Crown 2 though, Diffrent world, same cast (Think of the Eurka Seven movie for an idea)
Atleast it tied me over till new Eurka Seven

I'm ok with Inori using herself as the sacrifice instead of allowing Shu to do it. Proved once and for all that she was human despite everybody calling her a "monster" (which I still find unfounded). Shu taking on blindness is a good way to make sure he doesn't get out of this without any type of irreparable scar. Humanity's memories all being encased inside of crystals to live forever? Hmmm...

God that ending was stupid. It was so weak, why not kill off Shu? He's the supposed "sinner" in this whole thing. He was to carry the weight of the world and die, then MAYBE come back to life somehow to finish his "biblical" image.

But no, they killed off someone else, who was more or less a good person throughout the whole show.

And now I hate myself for trying so hard to like this show.

I didn't really mind the ending cuz I enjoyed watching overall. Also, loved the second OP!

His image wasn't "biblical", it was that of any king on earth. He or Gai was supposed to be the standard that society modeled itself by.

Really? I thought the whole thing was laid on pretty thick. The guilty crown, the thing with him taking on the virus, sacrificing himself to save the world and whatnot.

Those are the traits of the idealized king. Nobody ever lives up to all of them, but that's what everybody wants out of the perfect ruler.

I... I guess? Idk, the whole story was kind of a blur to me. But, man, it's so fucking pretty to look at. AND the music is good.

I believe it was a preview.

It was bundled with the Lost Christmas game, so it would've made more sense if we played it lol.

Not gonna lie, I like the Scrooge/Carol duo more than Shu/Inori.

I actually enjoyed the series, just didn't like that Shu was a bit of a twat, but other than that, it was quite a good series imo.

Guilty crown started off great, but then turned a disastrous turn for the worst after... like episode 13, where we were introduced to sadistic shoe, then all the way up to the ending, the climatic moments were only climatic because they had a great soundtrack playing in the background. The show just went downhill fast while it started off fantastic
