Haki is the key word here, without the ability to use it he needs to use his brains to hit him.

No haki isn't the key. Neither of them had haki at that point, or at least the ability to control and use it. We know Luffy has haki, and I think its safe to assume that Smoker has it. If Smoker has grown as much as Luffy has, then Smoker still has the advantage.

Yeah, but most logia users don't use haki because they rely too much on their powers. Smoker can probably use haki on par with Luffy, which means smoker is at the advantage.

Why? Because Smoker has pwned Luffy every time they have met up.

I don't think the difference will be too big, I think it'll boil down to Luffy not wanting to fight him at that time or Big Mamma showing up... I think it could even be the possibility that Luffy wins this round

I was shocked Lola was in the cover. I figured her crew was dead because of the mysterious monsters around Thriller Bark.

Also poor brook this chapter, I felt so bad for him. He had his heart ripped out. Even though he doesn't have a heart.
