Not in this case, but a lot of series do this now.

Light Novel started publishing in August 2009, manga was started in March 2010. It's redundant to the max. Anime came Fall 2011, and it's adapted from the LN.

Haven't read the manga myself, but they're almost always just a weird recycling of the LN content that's almost always behind even the anime adaptation.

That's a good thing.

We can get a Bad End for the series where Kodaka kills himself because he's unable to come to a decision. Preferably by hanging himself in the club room for everyone to see.
