The Antec 900 also has a good reputation.
Also isn't that motherboard still AMD? :(

Yeah, if you want an intel chip, you'd need an intel board, too. So in that case:TranClan67 wrote:We can go cheaper with the case...Biokinetica wrote:That line has a good rep for air-flow, though.TranClan67 wrote:We can easily downsize on the case considering I don't really care if it's fancy. lolBiokinetica wrote:Sure, but they're all at least $90 more.TranClan67 wrote:Friends have had bad experiences with them. But honestly, budget PCs don't get intel stuff.

Re: Build a PC!
If you go intel, you can do the ssd caching thing and it won't really matter how large the drive is. the two drives will act like one. So sure, that can save roughly $13.

This would be a brand new list. GPU took a huge hit, though.

lol I spent about 1200 on mine.
given that my gpu was 300+. crazy.
if ur budget is 800 u might have sacrifice something for low-tier.
namely ur cpu/gpu.

Based on the cpu Bio suggested, here are some combo deals to save you some cash.
The cpu also comes with a free blu-ray burner.

As you know, BF3's pretty intense on the physics. Having four discrete cores is better than two with hyperthreading. It depends on what resolution he's playing on, but it's better to be safe than sorry.Revy wrote:Does he really need that cpu? Wouldnt an i3 be sufficient?

I'll tell you right away, drop the Seagate drive, they're awful.
Pay the extra money for a Western Digital. It's well worth it.

Lol, looks good, im fucking jealous of that 670 you're getting.
You should get ram with a 1600 speed instead. Its like a $3 difference.

Re: Build a PC!
I think the gtx 670 is a good deal, just got mine from the mail today.
I dont think the 690 will drop a lot, alteast not more than 100 euros.
My new pc below, only have the GPU atm, ordering the other stuff on monday.
Is seagate that bad? Western digital has alot of bad reviews just like the seagate. Any HDD recommendations? Never really bought a HDD.

Re: Build a PC!
I'd get the Thermalright True Spirit for the cooler. Much cheaper and not as bulky while giving the same cooling power. I wish they had this thing when I bought my cooler. It was twice the price and doesn't really do any better. Also found your PSU for a dollar cheaper than newegg.
