A lot of people know what SA is. Mods from GT are on SA, without mod powers though lol.

SA pretty much is that mass migration you're referring to.

Honestly I think the name is a stumbling block for a lot of people because they assume it's going to be a Square Enix board primarily, but it really isn't.

There's a Square Enix section on the front page, but it's less active than General Gaming and far less active than General Discussion.

I've no interest in discussing Square Enix personally so I just hide that section, along with General Gaming since I'm not particularly interested in discussing that these days either.

We contemplated a name change, but most people there are pretty attached to Square Alliance (SA). There were other suggestions, but none of them sounded as good overall to our test group.

EDIT: Shoot, sorry. I'm used to Square Alliance's auto-merging double posts. I'll try not to do that again.

I like auto-post migration.

Well the decision is up to us as a whole. I think there needs to be more time so people get use to the idea of moving. Maybe not now, but in a month or so. But until then we need to keep this board active.

i agree with this, if we are going to merge i want more people to be aware of it or rather i want more people to see this thread and make a decision, im just seriously concerned about the CLOSE members that were gonna lose in the process, each move is liek a part of me dying, its quite sad, and dont think we didnt lose people during those moves to the Neo AF forums

I like my car. I'm still not going to get in it while it's on fire and go over a cliff with it. Don't read too much into the analogy, but my point is that it's better for people not to follow for the sake of following if they don't like the direction.

I'm pretty sure thats what he meant. It should have been east to tell, but I can see you misunderstanding since this place is also called AF.

Calm it down guys.

I don't like change either, not when it involves losing as many people as we have.

But something will have to change. At this rate, we'll all be gone. There's only a handful of us that are still active here, and part of the last remaining are, and have been, active in SA for some time now.

I made a profile myself last night, talked to some people, and scouted it out. And it's not bad in the slightest. The polar opposite of GT.

Best thing about it is that there's a specific list of private subforums that can easily have a private AF section added to it so that we have our own place to talk.

And, hopefully, PT can be put in charge of who has access to our private forum.

anyway my statement still stands that we should wait like a month or so for everyone to have a say also mitigating any losses if we were to merge, cause no way in hell 5 members can account for 1 close member and good friend lost

I was really active here when we first moved, but after a while I just stopped. Not because I don't like you guys, its just SA is a better forum. Even PT goes to SA more than he comes here now, plus this place gets pretty dead. Also I'm sure Darth can open a private section for AF.
