Merging with SA
A New Moving ?

I have been thinking of moving the Faction to Square Alliance forum, mostly because it's a better forum overall and some people that use AF also visit SA, including myself.
Zack (the admin) would change the "Anime" part of the forum to "Anime Faction" and i would him to leave it open to public because it would only benefit us.

I voted no, because the idea of a public anime forum linked to a forum filled with Square fans fills me with dread. But that's just me.

Not sure on this one.
I mean not everyone from the GT faction has come over and joined this faction. How many would we lose if make another switch?

I wasn't planning leaving this open.
If anything people would move to the normal GT AF and the people that would like to come to SA AF they would.

after i commited to this place, im not sure if i can handle another move, if we do decide to merge then ill just go ahead and leave focus on my college least it will be 1 less distraction in my life, once summer starts then ill join SA

uh, not that im very active in here anymore, so my opinion probably doesn't really matter...but i want nothing to do with SA...i just glanced at the forums for a minute and was already turned off, especially by some of the posts. it doesn't look like people over there censor themselves which gives way for big time trolling threads and what not.

The merge makes a lot of sense to me, considering how many AF members already use SA and how active anime and manga discussion already is on there.
The name "Square Alliance" largely comes from the Future fo Kingdom Hearts Faction making the site and the Final Fantasy Faction joining it. Also from the fact that two other factions quickly leapt aboard, making a grand total of four. (Shin Megami Tensei Faction and GameTrailers Elite.)
However, don't think that it's just a Square Enix community. It sort of started off with that in mind, but it has become very diverse. If you don't care for Square Enix, all you have to do is stay out of the Square Enix forum. There are forums for anime/manga (yours), art, general gaming, off-topic stuff, sports, etc.
You can check it out by making an account:

You can just ask Quey, Hollow, PT, myself, etc. if you want more information.

i already made my decision, if we do merge im leaving and wont join till the summer cause i need to focus on other things because moving there would mean more activity meaning me being more distracted, but like rum said if we do move he will not be following meaning that there will be a certain percentage of members here that will just leave completely so not everyone will hop on during the merger, if anything we would lose members on the way....those who were against it

We're currently working on some new graphical plans for the site, along with some new features (like voice chat). It's something that we continue to upgrade over time, since it's actually funded. That's why you see "BETA" at the top; we're going to remove that after the next big upgrade.
