Ok so Isshin is the previous Captain of the 10th Squad and former Head of the Shiba clan and Ichigo and his sisters are cousins to Ganju, Kukkaku, and Kaien Shiba which explains Ichigos natural high reiatsu. Unfortunately that means Kubo has completely forgotten about ever mentioning who the 4th Royal House of Soul Society was after telling us Kuchiki, Shihouin, and Shiba.

No wonder why Kaien and Ichigo look alike. I wonder why Matsumoto or Hitsuguya haven't mentioned a thing, or Ganju and Kukaku for that matter.

And of course Aizen is involved in it.

Well of course it now makes sense that Ichigo and Kaien look alike because they had a common ancestor rather than Ichigo being the reincarnation of Kaien. As for why no ones mentioned anything, the only Shinigami whos actually seen that Isshin is Ichigos dad is Rukia and Im sure she only became a Shinigami after Isshin left or was kicked out or whatever this flashback will show us. Ah yup she joined after Hitsugaya had become Captain if my memory of the 2nd movie is correct.

Oh wait no, Aizen knew about it too, but him being who he is is more than enough reason to have never told anyone.

All those Captains had to know who Ichigo was, save maybe Zaraki. Its clear that the Zero squad guys know who he is.

So why stay silent, hopefully we find out.
