Close. (When the series started) the zanpaktou was the physical representation of the Shinigami's heart where as their Shinigami body was made of their soul. I have to say "when the series started" because Kubo fucked the canon all up by having that guy who makes the Zanpaktous. If memory serves, Renji also said the Shikai's form was also representative of the Shinigami's reiatsu pattern or whatever back when he 1st fought Ichigo. And since its the actual soul of the Shinigami, its forever somehow linked to the Shinigami through reiatsu or whatever like ya said.

How the Bankai could be stolen in the 1st place is a plothole but this is Bleach so its nothing new. Suppressed wouldve made sense but again, this is Bleach.

lol We wouldnt know. The only Hollowfied Bankai weve ever seen was Kensei's and his fight was completely skipped in both the anime and manga.

I think last time we heard of him he was training with the "doctor" lady and killed her, i think he knows the name of his zanpakuto too now and probably has a Bankai by now.

They were born wolves so by turning human they become stronger.....yeah that's it....yeah...

curses tend to degrade you, not boost your powers.

Still from the looks of it it looks like he still have some animal looking hears
and it's explained why he's supposed to be stronger on page16

Ah so Kensei's Bankai is finally shown to us.. and its not anywhere near as useful as what I hoped... Here I thought it would just cut everything and make a bloody mess.
