looks sick, kinda reminds me of a cross between GITS and cowboy bebop

The main guy do remind of Spike abit.

Having some expectations from this anime so hopefully it won't disappoint. Loving the sci-fi feel.

The CG hand is legitimately worse than the holocaust though.

So i'm not the only one that noticed that CG hand.. I Had to repeat that scene a few times to make sure i wasn't mistaken... I can kinda see why they're doing it because the gun is all CG, but it looked horribly out of place.

Weekly Playboy News released an interview with director Motohiro Katsuyuki and writer Urobuchi Gen about new anime Psycho-Pass. Monohiro said he didn't allow the production staff to use the word "moe" in the discussion meeting. "This anime goes against the current trend of anime industry. So it'll either be a complete failure or a great success." Urobuchi said Motohiro protects him from noitamina producer's demands to add appealing elements for female audience.

Urobuchi said this anime has cruel scenes both physically and mentally. Motohiro joked that he wanted kids audience to have a trauma for life by watching this anime.

I don't feel too great about the first episode.

Dunno what Gen was talking about, but Akane is pretty moe. :/

Decent first episode.

The Psycho-Pass system is too blatantly flawed and to highlight those flaws right from the outset wasn't a great move.

We already saw a guy being driven to be a criminal and target of the system by his own fear of the system itself, but then they went and had the rape victim driven to it too.

The older Enforcer mentioned the lethal enforcement being reserved for people who are beyond rehabilitation, then they contradicted that before the end of the first episode by showing the rape victim's threat level affected by temporary distress and desperation.

She clearly wasn't beyond rehabilitation because all it took was for the enforcer to stop pointing his gun at her for her threat level to go back down to paralyse levels.

Also, the criminal was in the middle of raping and beating a woman brutally and threatening her with a lethal weapon and the gun thought he was a target for paralysis (until that didn't work).

Meanwhile the woman was just frightened of what they'd do to her, hadn't actually committed any crimes but in a moment of temporary insanity threatened to burn herself if they came near her and this is somehow grounds for execution?

Found it hard to enjoy the episode because it was too difficult to suspend my disbelief that this system would ever have taken hold, and the newbie who was apparently top of her class at academy can see how fuckstupid it is already which doesn't help.

Not a bad ep.
I like how funimation bought the rights before the anime come out xD.
