Squealer, or should I say Yakomaru, didn't waste any time did he?

In around two years he's brought his colony back from the brink of extinction, overthrown/lobotomised his Queen, unified with other small colonies to create a coalition that rivals Kiroumaru's Giant Hornets in size, modernised them to the point where they've advanced past the level of Kamisu District 66's construction techniques, even decked out his troops in Samurai armour.

Good episode, Squealer's such a slippery bastard lol.

Hated that brief but shoddy CG crowd shot we had to endure though, surely a handdrawn still would've sufficed, it's not like the Queerats were doing anything important in that scene.

Once again, the plot thickens. But man that was a great episode with learning what Squealer/Yakomaru has been up to since they helped him and his colony defeat the Giant Hornets. Who would've thought that he and his expanded colony have now passed humans in terms of housing architecture? Now for the long wait for the next episode....

Also, I didn't completely get what they did to the queen. They open up her skull or something and fuck around with her brain?

They did say in the episode that he probably caught a False Minoshiro library.

Before that the humans already allowed them to read some books.

Tomiko mentioned the neighbouring districts briefly and said they have their own methods for disposing of people, I assume all the remaining Japanese PK human settlements are based on the same model those scientists set up.

The rest of the world is a mystery though, it's probably a lot worse without death feedback.
