I think It's safe to assume that once the boss is defeated, the players are safe from any danger in the room. Nothing to worry about.

I dunno how the LN goes, but you can argue that he was given a potion after collapsing. We were never shown his HP bar after regaining consciousness, so it's a possible assumption. Again, though, I dunno how potions are administered in the game, so maybe not.
