ok so according to sankaku the ending feels like it tied it up rather than introducing the other mmos......my question is, is it really over?

Well it tied up the end for a season and also allowed them to introduce another season when the time comes. It was pretty open-ended in my opinion, I haven't read the LNs but they could continue the series if they wanted.

turns out he did the same thing in the LN where he said something under his breath that asuna didnt hear, so i think if theyre feeling up to it, they can make another season

Personally I think they should just leave it be. I don't think there is anything compelling to warrant another season. Also the second half wasn't as good as the first half.

omg, so satisfied with the ending. Even though it was pretty average, I really liked it. All that lovey-dovey stuff was just too adorable~ x3

Overall, pretty entertaining show.
