well if you can control air, you can most likely control the air pressure and air temperature create crazy ass weather anomalies and if were not limited to oxygen, lets say nitrogen, you can always make liquid nitrogen to freeze people and shit for example lol

It would make the most sense since we've seen no one other than Amon and Aang take away someone's bending throughout the whole series. If Amon learned it somewhere why not grant it to his closest followers? Are they unable to learn it or is it an issue of upholding power to be the leader?

honestly, amon can prevent being controlled by blood bending when aang could not (initially till he goes into super saiyan mode) plus hes a chi blocker, maybe amon just has super control over a person's chi flow kinda like the legendary dim mok move which you can kill someone minutes to years later, he can block someones bending for years or permanently, i wouldnt doubt it
