I really enjoyed this movie. Much more than I thought I would going into it. It's your basic cop story, but the thing that I thought made this better than most was the cast. Jake and Micheal played their roles really well, the characters were likable and pretty believable. I really do think this is what cops act like while on the job and off the job. The problems I had were slight like the gang members would sometimes film their conversions when they are plotting to kill these police officers and I don't think that would happen, like at all. If they were drunk? Maybe. But this happens quite a few times throughout the movie... and that's about it, really. Great script, great cast and an all around great movie.

I got to say, I'm not normally a huge fan when it to movies being Golden Globe nominated movies because I find the movies boring and don't the hype behind, but this really surprised me. Lol, actually, this was on Showtime on demand(Or maybe HBO...) and I watched it because I was bored and couldn't find anything else to watch on TV at the time and I wanted something that will put me to sleep and came across this. And after watching it, I'm actually really glad that I did, I liked almost every character that had. Even that random guy with the surfer attitude they introduced about 50 mins into the movie, I thought he was be annoying the whole movie, but after a while, I started to like him more and more, even though some of the things he said during the movie was bit too much and almost felt like he didn't really need to say anything after what someone else said, but the fact the other characters also point the fact that he went too in what he says and some even finding him annoying(Which he was in parts) It was funny and I thought it worked well in the movie. Eh, I feel like maybe I'm posting too much for something that will probably be overlooked, lol. So, yeah, long opinion short, loved the cast, loved the script and I'm pretty glad I took the time to watch this great movie.
