Definitely more of the design processes side. Like level or character design. Though I suppose I'd be better off going more broad since companies are more likely to look for people who can do more than just 1 thing

I thought you meant Massachusetts, scared the shit out of me for a second. IT is very broad, I think it's an excellent degree. I was originally saying something strictly for games could be hard to find a job with.
