Restrict guns for everyone else just because we don't need incredibly efficient ones to begin with, make legally purchasable guns inefficient and weak.

The 2nd amendment was meant to apply for local militias back when the U.S. didn't have a standing army, now it's the stupid MUH FREEDUMBS mess it is now because people can't get that around their heads.

and besides, as its original purpose (as stated in the 2nd amendment) people have weapons to protect themselves from a tyrannical government if need be, cause if a tyrannical government has anything to worry about its millions of angry citizens with guns

what about the swiss? germany didnt invade them during WW2 (even though they had plans to) cause they were able to mobilize hundreds of thousands of citizens with rifles in a matter of days, they didnt need a standing army, hell they dont even have a large one as it is, every able bodied male has to go through military training and in the end they get to keep their fully automatic rifles just in case for war and also for self defense, and as a result they have the least gun related crime rate in the world

Wars are going to be fought with missiles and drones eventually on top of that.

Only 10% of guns used in crimes are legally registered. by outlawing guns you will only create an incredibly huge black market for guns. And no, people just won't sell their guns to the government, people use them for hunting and sport all the time.

"You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass." Even though nobody knows who said this, its pretty much why we have to protect the 2nd Amendment. Its there to protect us not hurt us. It wasn't meant just for the guns at the time. The Founding Fathers knew guns would evolve.
