A Question About Space Brothers Empty A Question About Space Brothers

Recently I've been hearing a lot of hype about Space Brothers, particularly because it is an anime that doesn't have a young boy or girl as the main character. What I want to know is, is it really THAT good?

I'm mainly a fan of Shounen shows, but particularly action-heavy shows, but if the anime is meant to be great, I'd definitely give it a shot no matter what the genre.
