I'm pretty sure kyoukaku will come in and stop kenpachi from killing unohana at the last moment.

and what's that character in a manga that also gets stronger on the brink of death? can't remember. I know it's a commonly used plot device but there was one bad guy that did this specifically. Not in Bleach but somewhere.

Best way to describe this, but it feels kind of stupid to have fight to the death. Also I wonder what she is implying, that sin stuff.

Also I now realize that it was Kenpachi who gave her that stab in the throat and that unohana gave Ken his scar

Saiyans. Every time they narrowly escape death's embrace, they come back significantly stronger. Its what ultimately led Frieza to destroy planet Vegeta when he discovered Bardock (Goku's father) and his squad of Saiyans were growing incredibly powerful because of their numerous near defeats.

looks like he pretty much likes to do battle only, and since he only encountered weaklings he, without noticing it, lowered his power level in order to have balanced fights.

Kenpachi so badass. as a kid he was powerful enough to injure the deadliest person ever(before him).

Oh I know that but Im just saying that I like Kubo took the time to explain how Zaraki is getting stronger after his near-deaths.

Kubo explaining anything- uncharted territory, shame he didn't explain anything while Bleach was still a show
