That final reveal was fucked with quite a bit compared to how it happened in the Manga.

They'll have to correct that with a flashback or something.

Seeing as it's the most popular show of this year, it's pretty likely that it would get a sequel eventually. Though at this moment they only just about have enough chapters for a 12 episode sequel.

Well it wasn't a Claymore end that's for sure. I'm fine with waiting for a second season.

If they did a season 2 right now it would get Claymore'd. The manga simply isn't far enough along to pull off a season 2 based on the canon and the manga won't be done for a few years at least.

It's not actually the most popular show of the year.

Just among western fans.

Edit: Actually, maybe it is in terms of sales so far since apparently Monogatari Second season hasn't released any BD volumes yet.
