What Book Are You Currenty Reading? v1

I'm a total Gears fanboy.

Also, my friend is a huge reader, and he told me to read his favorite series (by his favorite author) , said I would probably like them just as much.



Bought it off of Amazon a few weeks ago.

I'm reading Fooled by Randomness, by Nassim Nicholas Taleb. It's such a great read, and I know of many people who enjoyed it so much that they finished it in one sitting.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! OH MAN! BOOKS?! OH GOD HAHAAHAHAHAH!

Just kidding lal. I started reading books again this year September when I went back school because I've got like a bus drive of an hour.

Read two Mass Effect books. Those were fucking amazing. Especially Ascension.

Read The Road. That was.....meh.

Right in the middle of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy right now. Borrowed all five books from a friend.

H.P. Lovecraft: Tales. Close to finishing it, but haven't really been in the mood for it.

A Dance with Dragons by George R. R. Martin. I had been waiting for this to release for 5 years -- I'm surprised I haven't finished it already. Alas, school has distracted me from my reading.

Im reading mostly in ebooks but I do have 4 of the George R Martin book in physical paperback

Im reading the fate zero LN at the moment just until I can read along with the anime then continue the game of thrones book that is only about a quarter read at the moment
I dont really have time to read because my senior year in highschool is keeping me busy some of the time
And the other is lazyness when im home but I still push myself

I'm about midway through A Storm of Swords but I took a break from it to read The Forever War, and then the Fate Zero and Kara no Kyoukai Light Novels.

Hemmingway's For Whom The Bell Tolls. Almost done and it's downright god tier. I regret not reading it in high school.

Recently read :

The Alloy of Law
both from Sanderson.. I tried to read Abraham's Long Price Quartet but couldn't really get into it. Ended up reading Rothfuss' The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear and really liked them. If anyone has read Rothfuss here, could you rec something similar?

It intros some other powers and puts limits on them. I really liked it, Holmes & Watson plus 1. I wish it was longer though, way too short imo.

Edit: it intros some other powers yes, but not "the last" of them. It hints that there are other powers out there that might come up with new alloys/powers. I think Sanderson is leaving it for the 2nd book. I hope he is at least. But for right now I want his focus totally on finishing A Memory of Light

WoT as a whole is amazing. There is a lull after book 5. It feels like Jordan himself was just trying to put in as many plots and as much as he could with the WoT series, which in turn leads to lackluster writing and chapters that after you've read them you say to yourself "I didn't really even need to read that". Towards Jordan's end though it gets better, like he's finally pulling all the pieces together. After Jordan passes away and Sanderson takes over it really picks up, I can only hope A Memory of Light improves on the last 2 books he's worked on, if it does the ending of this 20 year epic would be, well...Epic.

Yeah. It's kind of awesome.

I still got audiobooks for 22 days in straight play-trough. :S
