Anime Faction 4.0 Announcement

Dear my fellow community of Anime Faction, as you all can see, myself and PT, the Moderators, and the Contributors had worked hard to bring Anime Faction back to it's feet since the debate of merging with Square Alliance not too long ago, and it has been successful.

Over the time period, me and PT worked hard to implement several new and unique features for our forums to meet the member's needs. But do not worry, it is far from over.

Today I will announce you the Anime Faction 4.0 Update, which will soon be implemented, as the second I proposed this in the Mods / Admin forum, it will be immediately be worked on by myself to test out several new field to be implemented onto the forum. So here are the list:

Any comments, discussions, proposal, debate are welcomed. The point of this massive update is to attract more members, attaining our unique look, and in hope to bring back the activity that we used to have in 2006. Yes. The basic for posts are Copper (0 post) -> Bronze (100 posts) -> Silver (500 posts) -> Gold (3000 posts) -> Platinum -> (6000 posts)

Alright, for now it doesn't sound so bad. I was just worried that in the future there's a possibility of people just posting nonsense as incentive to get the colored titles, which doesn't add much to the community. But I understand that you're still in the preliminary stage of all the new features.

You should upload one of those pictures that appear on the tab/next to the url, that default one is meh.

I agree. I think that posts are a good idea as a requirement for leveling up. I think there should also be other requirements, like a points system. So for example, not only do you need 100 posts to rank up, but also like 10 points. Points should be tied to participation in the community that is not by posting, so stuff like events n shit. For example, I think blues set up a deviantart account for AF, so he should get like 100 points for that. And it can be done so that like everytime someone uploads a new piece of art on the dev-account, they get like 1 point. Or have it so that how Corn likes TKSync so much, he could host TkSync nights every week, and showing up and stuff gets you points.

how do we even calculate that when at some point there are dozens of AF related factions/groups on sites that members created for instance steam and i think there was another one someone made for some site

Don't worry, it's a lot easier to do than my post made it seem.

i dunno, it just seems tedious...considering some of the activity our upper echelons have in some parts of the year

If we were to do that, I think that the actions to gain points should be broad and streamlined so that it can apply to all users, instead of certain people doing certain things like making a DA group or w/e.
