Really need a personal thoughts/reveiw thread for anime in this section but here is just as good. Before I start, this is just a personal opinion not to be taken seriously, enjoy.
Haven’t quite got the anime fever back, I admit I can’t believe how much I’ve been missing out on. Like this one, “Freezing”. I’ve seen this one around before just never gotten around to watching it till a few days ago. I have to admit….

- Not sure why I waited soo long to watch this one. Had just about everything I loved, hardcore action, drama, mixed in with suspense. As awesome as it was I couldn’t figure out why it felt like it was something I seen before. It was very eerily similar to watching Neon Genesis Evangelion crossed with Deadman Wonderland with a dash of DBZ and Bleach. Not saying that was a bad thing but that was something that stood out. The other thing I liked about it was that it’s the first anime I’ve seen in awhile that had a male main that wasn’t just a 90lbs dumbass/weakling.
The cons, well even with all the action, what’s up with the papery clothing in this anime? I know, with the fight scenes in this one there would be no way stuff won’t get torn a bit but it just it seemed from just about every little scuff everything is falling to pieces. The other thing is that even with the fighting that was going on, it spent most of the time with the two mains just fighting rival students/teammates but when it actually got to the actual main purpose of what everyone was training for, was very short lived. Spent all this time with rivalries, when the real enemy came into play it was the last 3 and a half episodes.
All in all, it was actually pretty entertaining and fun journey, but the ending left out on a very big cliffhanger like Deadman Wonderland did and has me wondering is this it or is there going to be another season/series added later on to clear things up? I hope there is but get to the point sooner.

Love it or hate it, here is another personal opinion/review. Just finished out watching “Welcome to the NHK” a little while ago. Still can’t believe I finished this in an all nighter but I have to admit……

- This is another gem I wished I’ve seen sooner. This one was drama heavy, very emotional, and unbelievably realistic. To be honest with ya, I’ve actually came to tears on most of the episodes in which I have not done that with any show/movie since the last time I watched “Bicentennial Man” staring Robin Williams. Now I wasn’t bawling out if that’s what you were thinking haven’t anything get me that close. Not yet anyways.
I guess the thing that won me over from watching this is that not only could I relate to the main character, I could relate to all the characters introduced in the series to an extent of course. I guess most can relate to quite a few of the situations but I have to admit it really does make you think though. Either way this was very enjoyable series and a nice add to the collection favorite shows to watch.

This time I got two done. Finished watching two seasons of Sekirei a few days ago......
One more I just finished out watching earlier today is Samurai Girls. This one was recommended to me to check out and well....

- To be honest this one was a little bit interesting and funny at the same time even though what I found funny wasn’t actually attended to be funny or at least I think that it wasn’t intended who can say? From what I watched the whole premise seems like a cross between Pokemon and Highlander. Even though you “Gotta catch em all” but it still boils down to “There can only be one”. Sorry I just had to say it haha. If they said any of those taglines in the show that definitely would have been icing on the cake or even the transfer of power would have been pretty sweet. The last thing has to be that Doc Brown looking dude that started the game. Some weird reason with him standing in front of a giant clock keeps making think Back to the Future. It would have been even funnier if they had him sounding like Christopher Lloyd and to just say “Great Scott!!” I would have lost it haha.
The only negative I had was, you guessed it, what is up with the papery clothing? If anyone has an answer to that I would greatly appreciate it. Even with that said it didn’t distract me from enjoying this show cause of the stuff said above. Since it ended on a “to be continued”, it’s possible I might check it out when or if the third season comes around.

- This one wasn’t half bad. Thing that won me over was the art style and the ink splatter combat. It reminded me of watching the intro movie to Street Fighter 4. When it came down to the story, it was pretty decent but the acting almost killed this one for me. I’m not sure if this was intended or not, it’s just it seems that whoever they got for the English voice actors for some of the characters seemed unenthusiastic and very weak performance. This is probably the first anime I’ve seen so far that English dub has put me off just a little bit. Even with that said the art style and action out shined the acting. As for how it ended, sort of ended on a small cliffhanger in which at this point it can go either way. If there is another season, I might watch it as long as the English actors step up their game next time around.

Well got a 2 for 1 deal this time around and ended up with Aria: The Scarlet Ammo. Never heard of this one but got it in a bonus pack so might as well watch it. Well I have to admit….
The last one I just finished today is Witchblade. Now I’ve actually seen this one before a few years back but never made it past ten episodes couldn’t remember why I didn’t finish this one. I went ahead and bought the ddl and just started from the beginning. Then I slowly started to remember why I stopped watching it….

- I couldn’t watch this one with a straight face due to the fact that almost every episode mentions the name of the school about a hundred times. It was the name of it that was making me chuckle because of a joke my old WoW buddies use to make about certain zones/characters in-game. Anyways, for what the show was, it wasn’t half bad but could not figure out why the first 6 episodes was like watching the movie “Speed” but in anime form. Either way, I still found the action and comedy very entertaining except for one episode where it was between “that was very cheesy” to “wtf was that?” but all in all, still good.
The only gripe I had might be kinda of odd, it was pretty much every characters eyes in this series. I don’t know why but I found them very creepy. Sort of like that episode of “Dexter’s Lab” when he was trying to get that girl with the big anime-ish eyes (Yea I said it) to leave him alone.

- The fact is this one is a very awesome show. Quite a bit of drama some comedy and a lot of action but it was the dialog in the action parts in the first few episodes that made me stop watching it in the first place. Between the Witchblade and the enemies she fought in the first few episodes, their banter was mostly sex puns in which they weren’t even funny or witty. That was my only problem with it at the time but going back watching now it doesn’t even bother me that much now since the action out shines that ten times over. After the tenth episode, the series really takes off down the path of awesomeness in my opinion. As for the ending, even though it was a little sad it seemed sort of rushed in my opinion. Like it needed maybe one extra episode just to flush everything out because it seemed that even though it was the final battle, it was already over before it even got started. None the less, I enjoyed this one and glad I’ve finally finished it.

Still working down the list and decided to take a little break and watch something more current and ended up watching Mass Effect: Paragon Lost last night. From the short preview of the movie I seen quite a few months back had me a little skeptic. I’m already thinking that this will be corny as hell. As I’m watching it…….

- I was very surprised of how good this movie was. For being based on the video game series. The action, drama, suspense, and VA were awesome in my opinion. As for character designs, the humans there were a few good ones and so-so ones, the only asari(other than the brief appearance on Liara) was ok, but the one design that outshined all the others have to be the krogan. Actually made them look even more badass than they are in the game.
Still have to admit though there were few cheesy moments but the action outshined those moments. The one thing I didn’t like but already knew this was going to happen is how sad/grim/depressing this movie was. Even though it takes place around the time of ME2 and a few months before ME3, It was like playing through the ending of ME3 all over again. Even with that said, I still loved it. If you are a fan of Mass Effect or just looking for a thrill, check this one out.
