Knights of Sidonia: Battle for Planet Nine
Adaptation of the Manga by Nihei Tsutomu
Status: Airing April 11th 2015

Synopsis: It's been a thousand years since the Gauna, a strange alien race with no known method of communication, destroyed the solar system. A portion of humanity managed to escape using enormous "seed ships" like the Sidonia, which have allowed them to maintain the population while drifting through space. Nagate Tanikaze is a young man who has been raised deep in the bowels of the ship. When he goes into training to pilot the huge robotic weapons known as Gardes, Nagate is entrusted with piloting the legendary unit known as Tsugumori. Nagate and his fellow pilots put their lives on the line against the Gauna, in the ultimate battle for the survival of humanity.
Having narrowly avoided the collision with the asteroid at the end of the previous season, the Sidonia sets a course for the Lem system in order to wipe out the Gauna nest.

This is going to be my favorite anime of the season. Can't wait for some Tanikaze gauna killing action.

- I'm going to agree with the protesters, penis wielding chimera's just don't sound like a good idea. Plush she's being abused, she's kinda of in a similar situation like Almira was in. The tracks used in this episode were great and I feel like the soundtrack is already better than last season's. I was actually surprised that neither Yuhata or "Kunato" didn't notice that the gauna formation was a possible trap earlier. I'm really going to have to sit down and read the manga. I need to find out how En got superpowers, that was some hardcore parkour.

Looks like they've fixed one thing with this episode, really fucking late.
Izana sustained these injuries in entirely different circumstances on her first sortie in the Manga.

I meant dying as in lusting for the human seed. I gotta choose my words more carefully
I hope we get another season too but the way they ended it....man doesn't look like it. Well in any case the manga is at a cliffhanger point so I feel like if they did do another 12 episodes we would be left with either a original anime ending or be left at a huge cliffhanger like the manga. Though I'd like to see it animated just for the Beauty Contest alone.
