[Anime] Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso

Kousei gave it his all in that performance. It was spectacular musically and visually. There were so many beautiful shots. Once he was imagining Kaori by his side playing the violin, I immediately thought of the worse-case scenario. It wasn't what I was expecting, but at least we got to see her play with him one more time. When she started disintegrating and when Kousei said his last goodbye to her, I lost it. I actually screamed at my laptop screen. I just couldn't believe that she was gone. My heart sank at the scene with Kousei and Kaori's parent in the cemetery. I was so hoping that she would make it, but naw. I just couldn't believe that the performance would transition to that. And the letter she wrote for him....

Fuck, now this made me so angry. But I can't help but sympathize. I may have said some shit about her before, but she's redeemed for the most part. She saw Kousei's performance as a child, felt some inspiration and immediately wanted to play the violin to perform with him one day. She was another fuckin character inspired by Kousei. Goddammit, she's finally in the same school as him, but couldn't get any closer to him; so she comes up a lie that would manipulate everyone: Watari, Kousei, and Tsubaki. She was thinking of Kousei in the background, and we didn't even know it. It's definitely a cheap blow on the creator's part, and probably even a predictable one in hindsight to reveal all that in the end. But thatt shit always gets me. It always does. That dumbass photo of her and him in the background as kids didn't help either. I feel so much for Kaori now. I wish she was a bit more honest with herself. I wish she came clean earlier. ugggh my heart hurts.

As for the actual competition and the outcome, I wonder who placed 1st. I guess none of it matters in the end. How will Tsubaki and Kousei's relationship develop now? I guess we'll never know.
