Synopsis: Piano prodigy Arima Kosei dominated the competition and all child musicians knew his name. But after his mother, who was also his instructor, passed away, he had a mental breakdown while performing at a recital that resulted in him no longer being able to hear the sound of his piano even though his hearing was perfectly fine. Even two years later, Kosei hasn't touched the piano and views the world in monotone, and without any flair or color. He was content at living out his life with his good friends Tsubaki and Watari until, one day, a girl changed everything. Miyazono Kaori is a pretty, free spirited violinist whose playing style reflects her personality. Kaori helps Kosei return to the music world and show that it should be free and mold breaking unlike the structured and rigid style Kosei was used to.

Oh common who do you think is in my avy. Everyone keeps talking in poems which is sometimes makes it seem over dramatized. I was thinking that when Kao-chan turned away to go back to Kousei I was like ooo she being a sneaky bitch cause she seems to knows how Tsubaki feels but still went over to him. But when she seemed to only go back to him because of guilt and the fact that she told Kousei to back to Tsubaki I rethought that. Still can't see this ending without Tsubaki burned.

Tsubaki is done. It doesn't help that she's going out with her senpai now.

And yeah, the dialog is pretty funny. I don't remember my middle school days being like that haha.

I think the funniest part was at the end of the episode when the bitter duo was all hyped up to take down Kousei. Like if only they knew how low he's fallen. Looks like the next episode its Watari's turn to lose.

That had to have been my favorite part of the episode. These two challengers finally get their debut. It's obvious that Kousei fucked these two up and chopped them up Uzi style when he was in his prime, so I can't wait to see their vengeance.

Emi is a goddamn BEEAAASSSSSTTTTT killin these bitches. Takeshi was pretty amazing, too. Love these two.

I'm happy to see that these rivals have decent intentions by being Kousei's rivals.

Also, is Emi x Kousei a thing. I want it to be a thing. Fuck the rest.

Yes oh god make it happen. Both Emi and Kaori are trying to get Kousei to play with more emotion and with Tsubaki always jelly it'd make for an interesting dynamic between all the characters. Also I can't take Takeshi serious with that haircut....

I actually like the piece they are playing, I do hope Kaori makes it and we get a Kids on the Slope moment where Kousei starts playing and Kaori bardges in. I don't need him hogging the spotlight. I do hope she gets to perform and isn't out because she's sick. Also lol at Emi creeping.

Jesus Christ, I feel so emotional right now. Not only was the performance just fuckin incredible, but the flashbacks with Saki were just so precious. She was such a loving and caring mom. Fuck man, her death is such a tragedy. I dunno how Kaori's gonna survive.

NO NOT THIS WAY DAMMIT! My baby can't go she's the main attraction. Wasn't losing his mother and going through all that enough for Kousei. Let him progress like a normal person. I'm glad for those flash backs it showed us Saki's point of view before she looked like a monster, now just a sad mother trying her best in her final days...
