Actually managed to play a bit of the beta before Namco shut the servers down. lol
Character movement feel less precise compared to DS1.
I picked sorcerer and magic has been juiced up. The giant spellsword is fun.
Difficulty is still there. Almost died a couple times from ambushes.
Lock-on distance is a little short.
The environments in the beta are really dark. I had to use the torch for most of it.
Online wasn't working yet. I tried to summon a couple phantoms but it failed every time. I don't think Namco wanted us to play yet anyway. The official test doesn't start until the 12th.

It's a little slower, more weighty. Still feels great, though.
A lot of the returning weapons from the first game have different move sets so it took me a minute to figure them out.
Like the long sword doesn't have the stab move anymore. It has a slower but powerful slash attack instead.
Magic has a standard and power attack like melee weapons now.
