Yakuza isn't the only series that gets the shaft in the US.
Sega sends most of these titles to die since they don't advertise shit.

The point is that Atlus titles in the US sell well for Atlus standards, but Sega would view it as a flop.
Even though Etrian Odyssey got great review scores it sold like shit in the US (41,000 units) so Etrian Odyssey 5 is likely to stay in Japan now that Sega's in charge.
Valkyria Chronicles 2's sales were so bad here that Sega didn't bother with the 3rd game, it sold 62,000 in the first year.

P4G is only 137,000. Yakuza 3 sold 156,000 copies in the same timespan so is Persona now a flop?

Yume Miru Kusuri - if you want a typical bishojo game. It's pretty easy to get into, also doesn't take that long to finish and it's uncensored.

Saya no Uta - written by Gen Urobuchi (Fate/Zero, Madoka). Highly disturbing.

Muv-Luv/Muv-Luv Alternative - it's pretty amazing but requires a lot of time investment.
