Graphic Novels Empty Graphic Novels

Post by saintcross Sat Dec 03, 2011 8:02 am

Been meaning to get into comicbooks graphic novels and I don't really know where to start. The only one I've read is Y: The Last Man and while it was awesome, it was kinda long. So I was wondering if anyone could recommend some shorter ones that could get me started, preferably non-superhero ones.

I WOULD say Fables and The Walking Dead but they're both pretty long by this point.
Watchmen is always one people recommend as well as V for Vendetta. Some of my friends say Sandman is amazing but I'm yet to read it.
The Halo Graphic Novel is pretty good if you like the universe and it has a collection of good stories.
The Last Stand of the Wreckers is good and while it does tie into the ongoing Transformers series it's still good enough to be read on its own as long as you're familiar with the Transformers and the Wreckers in general.

That's about all I can recommend since I've been reading a lot of Marvel/DC as of late and I forget what other graphic novels I've got.

Sandman is on my radar but the amount of issues and spin-offs feel a bit overwhelming, I'll get to it eventually though. I think I'll pick up Watchmen and V for Vendetta since I liked the film adaptations.
