About five years ago I would have stabbed you in the throat for saying that, I played it up until 2 years ago and it really went downhill. It took years to go bad though, the game has staying power in its original form.

A lot of people had said that if the second didn't work, they'd keep playing the first. I am one of those original die hards, almost from the beta days.

No, it's just because I enjoyed the game, I was addicted to it like a drug. It's still the best MMO I've ever played. Easy to communicate with players, almost like a chatroom with fighting, very easy to jump into and incredibly difficult and time consuming to master. That's how I remember it.

Oh god, the RO players are calling RO2 a casual version. This is going to really hurt isn't it?

I never liked FFXI, I found it claustrophobic compared to RO1. Can't talk when you're dead, the game felt cold and very gray.
