Batman wasn't involved in both situations.
But in the other hand, if he had killed Joker the 5325123 times he beaten him the woman would still be alive.

You just KNOW the Joker is going to do something no matter what. Why not just beat him up for it early?

More of a design flaw. There's no legitimate reason why those NPCs should be able to take a beating indefinitely, only going down when they finally meet the finishing mover trigger. That's a complaint I had with the first game.

Well if they went down with one punch to the face like anyone in real life does it wouldn't be very challenging, the game is already easy as it is. The game+ does say that makes the game harder with stronger enemies and no enemy strike tells.

Also this is a Batman game, it's not supposed to be realistic when you have immortal guys making sand clones and a huge clay monster, among other things :|

I do like that because Batman doesn't kill them, when you go and revisit a zone sometimes they have comments on how Batman kicked their 'arses'
