Ok this time i did alot more thinking and trimming it down and this what i came up with. Keep in mind that this "game" is one that i plan on making once i have in

First off, i would like this to be trilogy, so This will cover just the first game.

Gameplay:
Genre: Hack-and-slash (with RPG and 3rd person shooter elements)
Gameplay: The game will play very similar to games such as Ninja Gaiden and God Hand The game uses 7 characters. The characters are a knight, a vagabond (traveler), a priestess, a samurai, a ninja, a shaman, and a bandit. Each character has a fixed amount of health. This means that the characters, as they level up, never gains more hp. Each character can be played in different ways. The game will have skill trees, one for offense and one for defense. Special attacks make use of each characters element. Everytime you use a special attack, it will have a side effect on your character and your enemies.


-Lore: The war between Heaven and Hell has finally reached Earth. Most Humans have joined the side of Heaven, they seek peace and unity. While some side with Hell, who seek to punish the wicked and grant everybody's desires. Demons attack the Earth leaving most of it in ruin and about half of the world's population dead or captured. This game takes place on an occupied Earth, 20 years after Armageddon (Humanity and Heaven's "last" stand to defend Earth). God is now looking for a for a way to take back Earth and give humanity its freedom back, but He can not do it Himself so He starts looking for humans who can liberate Earth from Hell. (More coming soon...)

Characters:
There are 7 playable characters. each character represents one of the Seven Heavenly Virtues. Each character also has control over a element.

Michael, The Knight
- Element: Light
-Age 24 (m)
-represents Humility
-Weapon: Claymore (Sword)
- Bio:

Kaede,The Ninja
- Element: Darkness
- Age 21 (m)
-represents Patience
-Weapon: Wakizashi
-Bio:

Haru,The Samurai (male) and Yuuki,The Priestess (female)
-Elements: Fire and Ice/water
- Ages: 19
-represents Diligence and Kindness
-Weapons: Katana, Naginata
-Bio:

Maria,The Vagabond
- Element: Lightning/Electricity
- Age: 18 (f)
- represents Chastity
- Weapons: none
-Bio:

Emem,The Shaman
- Element: Earth
- Age 30 (m)
- represents Temperance
- Weapon: Spear
-Bio:

ReneƩ,The Bandit
- Element: Wind
- Age 20 (f)
- represents Charity
- Weapon: 2x Pistols
-Bio:

Enemies:
Theres 4 groups of enemies: demons, Emperors/Empresses, Horsemen, and Hell's Generals.
demons are the weakest and more common enemies. Emperors/Empresses are special demons. They are smarter and stronger, and they all have a unique style of attacking. Horsemen super powerful enemies. Theres only four of them but good luck actually finding them, though. Hell's Generals are your "evil" counterparts. They are pretty much the opposite of our heroes.

well at least it seems like you put some more thought into it.

MORE HARSH SKEPTICISM TIME

-just call it a 3rd person hack and slash rpg. if you call it a 3rd person shooter it feels like there's shooting elements which makes people think of cover based shooters. or better yet a 3D ACTION RPG.

-lol an RPG where you don't grow stronger in a stat.

-I know you want to incorporate these different "classes" but why not just have actually developed fictional characters that have traits of the classes instead of naming them a certain class which makes people immediately think of stereotypes for them?

-more characters = variety but it'll ultimately create favorites where some classes will be played more than others. Also have fun trying to make seven characters likable and have the players care for their existence when professional developers can't even try to make their single protagonist likable.

-layout the story bro. Idk y a samurai and a knight would be in the same world unless England and Japan going to war again during the warring states or some shit.

I like the idea of relating to the heavenly virtues.

the hp is the only stat that doesnt increase lol. The story,bios, and lore is coming tomorrow (since i get out of class pretty damn early Asmile ) anyway hopefully the story clarifies why all of this is happening. 3PS elements is just for 1 character so, it might be a slight exaggeration lol. The characters will have names i just never thought of them yet (the class thing is just place holders). Ima clarify everything, check back again later and something new should be here. and thanks again for the feed back Akawaii

Not to be a stick in the mud, but you're going to need more than a few gameplay mechanics and character archetypes to make a game interesting.

Not that you can't do it... just that you're going to need more than I have seen.

Still working on the story. Hopefully i can get something that isnt as confusing as the Kingdom Hearts games lol

Those Seven characters are basically your lives and weapons. The way it works is that you can make a party of 3 and switch between those three during missions.

Few notes/questions:

Story:

- Lotta characters. Are all of their stories going on at the same time? For instance while I play with three characters are the rest of them progressing story wise and is there any chance for me to face other characters I didn't choose as hell-corrupted monsters? Just a thought.

- I would take the classes away completely and to legitimize the presence of samurai's, knights, etc. I would say that since mankind had no weapons powerful enough god granted them weapons powerful enough to face these devilish fiends etc.

- From the list I see the Ninja class uses darkness shouldn't there be some clash with his element especially when he is fighting against the armies of hell. Could be an interesting side story for that character. Try to give them something that makes them interesting...

Gameplay:

- Are the characters leveling to get skill points for skill trees? If so, why isn't their health increasing? The monster damage will surely increase which would make defense skill tree almost mandatory, right? I think the rate at which their health increases should be affected by their class (Knight = more health, priestess = less health).

- Is it going to be a hack-n-slash combo type like DMC?

Yes all of their stories are linked. Well as for the corrupted versions, i've actually been thinking about a level for that so...maybe :P

The class thing is really like the FF style. for example (i'll use FFX because thats the only one I played besides the first 1) Yuna = White Mage, Tidus = Warrior, Rikku = Thief, etc. They just use a certain weapon with a certain playstyle. For Example Michael is pretty much a tank while the Maria is a glass cannon (hits hard, but cant take hits well)

The Ninja is the weird one. I based each element on the characters personality so the ninja is naturally keeping people in the dark (see what i did there?) . There are some other things that also explains his element in his back story. Speaking of back stories, theres a twist about each of these characters. They each have committed a offense in the Judeo-Christian ideology. in order:

Michael: Murder
Kaede: Murder, Homosexuality
Haru: Theft
Yuuki: Theft, Incestuous feelings
Maria: Attempted Murder* (*attempted suicide)
Emem: False idols
ReneƩ: Athiest, Theft

Yes most of the XP you get will be used to get skills. The thing is is that i dont really know on how many the player should be able to use. I was thinking should i do it Darksiders style and have it to where you can only use 4 skills at a time, or if i should go the kingdom hearts route and have each skill listed in a menu in mid combat. In the skill trees there is a defense and offense set. Defense will provide protect for your character and makes it easier for you to dodge. For example Maria has a skill called minimal movement which causes for you to dodge being a close call but you can retaliate faster than any other character. The reason the health is fixed is because I want the amount of armor each character is wearing to actually represent how much health they have. For example the knight will be slower but his defense is the strongest. While someone like Maria or Kaede who wear minimal armor for more speed which means they really have to be careful.

Yes combat wise, inspiration came from Devil May Cry, God Of War, amd Ninja Gaiden.

Oh, I had one more thing. It would probably be unrealistic, but what about them morphing to fight for Hell rather than Heaven. You could see how their armor, weapons, abilities, and overall demeanor mutates. Just something to play around with.
