Re: Doctor Who
Yes November...I absolutely LOVED how they put the other Doctor's in this episode, CGI or stunt double, very awesome.

Re: Doctor Who
I bought this season on bluray!
Okay nvm I read he's the true eighth regeneration(9th doctor before ecclestone), OR the eighth doctor grown old.

Not all of them though. I didn't even see Patrick Troughton, maybe I need to watch it again. The fourth needed a bigger spot too, dependent on how many years he had the role. In the classic series, i'm up to the second version of his timelord companion, Romana. City of Death is one of my favorite serials now, and it's only the second in the season! Can't wait to see this year's Christmas Special of course. I don't know why they announced the Doctor before they showed the regeneration though.WolfWood37 wrote:Yes November...I absolutely LOVED how they put the other Doctor's in this episode, CGI or stunt double, very awesome.
Zero? John Hurt is Thirteen from what I saw. You know who is one and will always be one. Matt Smith said that he (the thirteenth) was the one that gave up the name The Doctor. We know it's the thirteenth because Peter Capaldi is the twelth.TheCreator wrote:Saw it.
Veeeerryyyy cooool. Dat cliffhanger.
I was right about Clara, in the end she was
- Spoiler:
Scattered among different timelines trying to save the doctor
About River
- Spoiler:
It was a little bit weird how they handled that but, the river that appeared in the tea party was from before she went to the library. The ghost one, was an eco that remained because of her connection to Clara...
About the cliffhanger
- Spoiler:
I'd say that yes, he actually is the zero (the first one in fact). I'd also say that his secret is none other the destruction of the daleks/timelords in the Time War. I supposed that the twist is that he actually was trying to save the universe from the timelords, not the daleks (the dales were some kind of bonus xP). However, i'm quite sure this was implied in Tenant's finale so i'd supposed the secret is actually something even more obscure.
The one thing i really hate, is that november is really far away.

Re: Doctor Who
It's been long, how you are doing?
Actually, yes i've also read that he might be the eighth or even that he really is the ninth but since he dropped the doctor's name, when he regenerated the new him (eccleston) just didn't count him as a true "him" for whatever horrible thing hurt did.
I'm still not sure if he really is the doctor or at least one of the THE doctor's regenerations. He might just be another time lord, one that escaped the time's bubble.

Re: Doctor Who
I'm doing well, Creator. Yourself?
The show introduces him. "Introducing John Hurt as The Doctor", so there's your answer. Anyway I'm up to Peter Davison's second season. He's not Tom Baker, but he has his own traits to differ from the long scarfed Doctor. He actually is a lot more reminiscent of a culmination of all 4 Doctors in one, constantly throwing old nostalgia out there for the viewers.

Re: Doctor Who
I've just started Tom Baker with it's first serial "Robot", it's terrible XD.
After watching The Three Doctors and Planet of the Spiders i believe even more that John Hurt is not one of the Doctor's regenerations.

Re: Doctor Who
Master would have been awesome, but I still loved what they did. Including the 2 cameo's at the end.

Re: Doctor Who
Two cameos? Baker was one but the other one who was it? Did you mean Capaldi?
Thankfully i got to see in a movie theater. REALLY awesome. I saw lots of T-Shirts, one tardis dress, several tardis bagpacks and pins, one guy with a bowtie and like, four tenants (one was actually crossdressing).
If you didn't go to a movie theater you missed the "turn off your cellphones" clip done by a Sontaran (the popcorn thingy was supreme hahaha) and another one by Tenant and Smith that was quite funny too (in 12D!).
I was expecting something complety different (i was expecting to see Omega and/or Valeyard) but i enjoyed it very much.
It's really sad that we are really close to see Smith's end but i'm actually looking forward to Capaldi's grumpier, meaner doctor. I'm dying to see how Clara will react (though i would fucking love to actually see Amy and Rory react to the meaner doctor hahahaha).

Re: Doctor Who
I wonder how everything will wrap up, there were so many unanswered questions throughout Smith's run...hell even Tennant still has a few mysteries left.

Re: Doctor Who
Actually, the plot has already been leaked. It's still a rumor of course but we know what's going to happen.
I'll leave it here:
Beware HEAVY spoilers

Beware HEAVY spoilers
- Spoiler:
- As you know, Smith's going away and the Christmas Special will be his last appearence. The story goes like this: In the 50th anniversary special we actually got to know that Smith was not the Eleventh Doctor but the Twelveth. Well, according to the rumor that's wrong. He's not the Twelveth, he's the Thirteenth. If you remember back in Tenant's run on the last season, he regenerated with his hand and another tenant was born. Well, that regeneration counted, so The Doctor has regenerations no more.
I don't know how much of Oldwho you know but each timelord has 12 regenerations (plus the original one, so that makes 13). We already know that's possible for a timelord to regenerate more than that because of the Master, so the x-mas special will be about that: Smith knowing he's dying and that he has no more regenerations and trying to fight it or accept it i suppose.
We already know about capaldi so he does regerate but we don't know at what cost.

peter capaldi was great IMO

Re: Doctor Who
Capaldi was great because he was so different. From the happy runaway professor to the serious, old man.

Ep 2 was good, a bit short IMO
The inside of the dalek reminded of parts in fallout like the enclave base and the big MT
