When Doctor Who starts out, The Doctor is very selfish and childish. His character greatly develops over time, and the humans Ian and Barbara teach him compassion. Then he becomes basically...the most compassionate being in the universe. The Doctor is the best!

Heh good to know. I finished the second serials (again, it was really boring but slightly less than the first one) and i was thinking to just watched the last one and move on to the second doctor. I think i will see the episodes that are still real episodes and not radio dramas.

There are far more available episodes of the first than the second, be warned before you move on. I'm almost up to the fourth now, rewatching third because he's my fav so far.

I'm officially at the Tom Baker stage. I don't know if I like him yet over Pertwee, but hey, he's the Doctor. I will say this, his scarf is fucking awesome. It's like 20 feet long.

So the Who finale just happened, oh boy.

So what that was the 12th? or the zero? I'm confused.

As for River, that also didn't make sense. She was the Library River?

I bought this season on bluray!

Not all of them though. I didn't even see Patrick Troughton, maybe I need to watch it again. The fourth needed a bigger spot too, dependent on how many years he had the role. In the classic series, i'm up to the second version of his timelord companion, Romana. City of Death is one of my favorite serials now, and it's only the second in the season! Can't wait to see this year's Christmas Special of course. I don't know why they announced the Doctor before they showed the regeneration though.

Zero? John Hurt is Thirteen from what I saw. You know who is one and will always be one. Matt Smith said that he (the thirteenth) was the one that gave up the name The Doctor. We know it's the thirteenth because Peter Capaldi is the twelth.

Okay nvm I read he's the true eighth regeneration(9th doctor before ecclestone), OR the eighth doctor grown old.

Check this site and these comments omfg, real die hards:

It's been long, how you are doing?

Actually, yes i've also read that he might be the eighth or even that he really is the ninth but since he dropped the doctor's name, when he regenerated the new him (eccleston) just didn't count him as a true "him" for whatever horrible thing hurt did.

I'm still not sure if he really is the doctor or at least one of the THE doctor's regenerations. He might just be another time lord, one that escaped the time's bubble.

I'm doing well, Creator. Yourself?

The show introduces him. "Introducing John Hurt as The Doctor", so there's your answer. Anyway I'm up to Peter Davison's second season. He's not Tom Baker, but he has his own traits to differ from the long scarfed Doctor. He actually is a lot more reminiscent of a culmination of all 4 Doctors in one, constantly throwing old nostalgia out there for the viewers.

I've just started Tom Baker with it's first serial "Robot", it's terrible XD.

After watching The Three Doctors and Planet of the Spiders i believe even more that John Hurt is not one of the Doctor's regenerations.

Master would have been awesome, but I still loved what they did. Including the 2 cameo's at the end.

Two cameos? Baker was one but the other one who was it? Did you mean Capaldi?

Thankfully i got to see in a movie theater. REALLY awesome. I saw lots of T-Shirts, one tardis dress, several tardis bagpacks and pins, one guy with a bowtie and like, four tenants (one was actually crossdressing).

If you didn't go to a movie theater you missed the "turn off your cellphones" clip done by a Sontaran (the popcorn thingy was supreme hahaha) and another one by Tenant and Smith that was quite funny too (in 12D!).

I was expecting something complety different (i was expecting to see Omega and/or Valeyard) but i enjoyed it very much.

It's really sad that we are really close to see Smith's end but i'm actually looking forward to Capaldi's grumpier, meaner doctor. I'm dying to see how Clara will react (though i would fucking love to actually see Amy and Rory react to the meaner doctor hahahaha).

I wonder how everything will wrap up, there were so many unanswered questions throughout Smith's run...hell even Tennant still has a few mysteries left.
