Kyoani sent that Reina Kumiko ship into a iceberg and sunk it in the previous episode, just forget about it man. Shame on Kyoani for teasing us like this, how unecessarily cruel...And its just like you said Taki-teacher bet on something like this happening to shut the kids up. I was thinking that he was gonna drop Tsukamoto from the whole thing this episode cause he kept fucking up.

I was never on the ship lol. There's no yuri going on, but I love the interaction between them regardless.

And I feel like Shuuichi is an after thought at this point in the season. Maybe if there's a S2, we can see more of him even though I don't care much for him.

I was on that ship the day it sailed, when she went down it was horrible just horrible.

Everything is finally clicking with Kumiko now. She realizes how Reina felt back in that one isolated moment. She realizes that she wants to improve and play the UFO so fuckin bad....because she loves UFOs.

That running AND bridge scenes were so good. Extremely well-animated and filled with the right intense and raw emotion not only from Kumiko, but Shuuichi too. That was a real gott damn good scene.

And oh gawd, Reina called her 6 times that day.

Kumiko is such a lovable MC.

Agreed and not just because I find Natsuki the most attractive. Can't believe how well this show has been executed. Its very believable, the drama is great, everyone is relatable and the atmosphere has been well captured.

Yeah, this show is very real, especially Kumiko.

I hope there's a season 2.

Would love a season 2 but I feel like where it ended was fine too. Great anime my favorite this season.

I've been told that some characters get more attention in the later novels like

so I hope KyoAni continues this. I mean why was Asuka so gloomy at the end? Who is in that picture that Taki had? Why was Asuka feeling like her journey with the band has ended?Will they go to the Nationals? What about Shuuichi and Kumiko (even though I don't give a)? WHY DOES ASUKA FEEL THIS WAY

People were saying this anime turned out good because it was faithful to the source material minus the yuri-bait. Also that it would take another 2 seasons for it to cover the novels. I say bring it on. On a side note I found out the reason Kyoukai no Kanata sucked was because Kyoani edited the source material too much.

BDs sold around 5,600 the first week, so that's a good start.
