Just a vague example, The bottom line is, the people who actually take the time to register themselves a weapon are less likely to use that weapon for a crime. After all it's easily linked back to the owner. While the others who actually use guns for crimes usually acquire it illegally and regardless of how strict laws are they will still get their guns. In the end it's just screwing the people over who want to have a gun in the household to protect themselves.

Bring down the hammer of doom on those with illegal guns, turn them in via buybacks or something get arrested, you have no reason to own a gun if you don't own it legally.

Restrict guns for everyone else just because we don't need incredibly efficient ones to begin with, make legally purchasable guns inefficient and weak.


The 2nd amendment was meant to apply for local militias back when the U.S. didn't have a standing army, now it's the stupid MUH FREEDUMBS mess it is now because people can't get that around their heads.

what about the swiss? germany didnt invade them during WW2 (even though they had plans to) cause they were able to mobilize hundreds of thousands of citizens with rifles in a matter of days, they didnt need a standing army, hell they dont even have a large one as it is, every able bodied male has to go through military training and in the end they get to keep their fully automatic rifles just in case for war and also for self defense, and as a result they have the least gun related crime rate in the world

The US totally needs a deterrent like that, because the by far strongest, most expensive military in the world won't stop anyone.

Also, Switzerland is a tiny country, and very different to the US in a lot of ways, more importantly though it does not have the least gun crime, and the gun homicide rate is 13 times the UK's.
