That wasn't my point, nor yours. You were going on about how everything sucks today compared to, what, 5 years ago? And you bring up Bleach and Naruto as some sort of standouts or rather the minimal standards? Please. There isn't a single point in time where everyone is perfectly happy with what they're given. And that's fine, you don't have to be, but to say that "everything now is X" and "it was so much better when Y was around" is preposterous. You're either insanely melancholic and nostalgic 'bout the good ole' days, or you just can't be bothered to invest the time needed to search ever so slightly deeper than what's on the surface. I agree with not having the patience to dig deeper, but it seems like I have to dig a little deeper each year to strike gold. And yes I am nostalgic, and I see nothing wrong with that. I look back on the reasons why I became an otaku in the first place and try to find that same reason in today's anime, but it's increasingly harder to find it.

Isn't it possible that Bleach aged like wine, when compared to the multitude of moe-blob shows? I don't see why THAT isn't a valid point.
