At least that's how it was in the beginning, after a while I just stopped caring about it. It was high school, I was like super in freshmen year, but then realized that it all didn't matter in my sophomore year because I PROBABLY won't see them ever again. So I was like....mmmmk

they sell used games at only $5 less than new (I know from what I'm told)

I don't like when I buy a game "new" there and they sometimes just take the game case I bring to the register, grab the disc from one of their shelves/cabinets/etc. that were in those paper sleeves, put it in the case and sell it to me. But that's really it.

Again if you did get a new copy and someone used the code it's not Gamestop that did it, it's someone that works there that happens to be an asshole that stole the code.
