A person I know tends to make remarks that despite being done in "good fun" always bother me. A remark I made in response to his comment seems to have bothered him but I don't want to retract from it because it will just give him the impression that it's okay to say such things to me even if they are in "good fun".

If what he was saying was bothering you then you should say so.
I don't know the specifics but you shouldn't feel bad about it.

Have you ever called out said person before, whether directly or through a remark of your own? Chances are, they aren't used to being talked back to and they don't take criticism and sarcastic or otherwise playfully hurtful remarks too well. Probably didn't even realise there's a line that's not to be crossed.

I've tried to get the point across through serious talk but it seems that he just goes back to doing it again, so this time I tried using smartass remarks to get the point across. Instead of laughing it off or waiting for a certain time to call him out about it, I'll just do smartass remarks every time he does it. Hopefully he'll stop...one day.

i haven touch my copy of dark souls since i bought it 2 weeks ago
all i did was escape the prison and stop playing
I also got FFXIII 1 and 2 from a pawnshop for $5 each
I had the first one but had to sell it for money 10 months ago

I know and I tried once but I just felt awful and tried being "just friends" with him. It's not working out. I still feel incredibly uncomfortable with him and I find him boring now. All he does is send stupid videos and pictures, and talk about how people are faggots for doing this and that.
