You're undermining what our society is, then. What's wrong with arguing? You're asking for ignorance and frankly, self-induced incompetence and censoring for the sake of keeping up appearances and some nonsense about how fluffy everything's supposed to be. It doesn't have to be like this all the time, but I don't see what's the problem. We'd be far more dysfunctional if we were all so happily ignorant.

There is no pot of gold at the end of an argument. You have both have to start agreeing on something to get anything out of an argument, and if that's not gonna happen, ignore each other. Otherwise it will be World War III in here and neither of you want that, right?

I think argument is a lot different from a discussion. That's like the cops saying the coked up husband and his pot smoking wife were having a discussion when we arrived. There wouldn't really be a need for intervening if it were just a discussion. But an argument, a DISPUTE, well that's when shit gets outta hand.

That's your problem. Arguments don't have to get out of hand, neither do disputes. An argument is a civilized discussion over a controversy i.e. court. If an argument or dispute gets out of hand, then it's a fight. Arguing is NOT a bad thing.
