So now I'm reconsidering the whole programmer thing, I feel like businesses won't want me unless I'm really fucking good, and that requires time to teach myself. This is such a strange field, I mean to get into a job you have to know about a language or framework, but there are thousands so how can we learn them in the first place? Then we have to find a job for the correct language that we have experience in.

I wanna teach myself DirectX and OpenGL so I can program games. Still it's gonna take a while before I can find a job in that. My current job is for .NET and a framework called CSLA. Fat chance I'll find a job for that so soon.
