Disabling widgets and centering of forums Empty Disabling widgets and centering of forums

Post by Destructo Thu Aug 23, 2012 8:11 pm

Before the widgets were implemented, the forums were aligned in a way that it didn't stretch to the point that I have to scroll left and right to see the whole board. When I initially asked if there was a way to disable the widgets, I had hoped that when I disabled them, the forum would re-align itself back to the center, but the forum just stretches itself to fill in the gap instead.

Is there any way to make it re-align itself back to the center instead of stretching itself? If not, then it's fine. I'll deal with it.

Ah, that's why. I'm using 1200 x 800.

If it turns out to be a pain to fix, then it's okay.

Yeah, it used to be centred and there'd be space enough to see the background on both sides, also like Whiskers said, since the introduction of the widgets the page has been so wide that I can scroll left and right rather than it just fitting my browser.

I'm not totally sure, but I think the banner is also a cause of the off-center forum. Before, each side of the logo only had like 3 tabs. Now that it has 4 on each side, I think that also caused everything to be off-center for me.

Yeah, it could be the banner, all this stuff happened around the same time so I'm not sure what caused what.

Now the page is no longer too wide so I can't scroll left or right anymore.

There isn't a lot of room along the sides for the background to show though.

Oh look, no more horizontal scrolling!

As for the background, I don't mind much. I can see enough of it fine.
