downside: there's no online play/coop, you can compare records with friends only

I'm torn between getting this or Darksiders 2. From what ive seen of both of them, they both seem pretty great but I can only afford one of them for the time being.

Does this somehow reminds you of True Crime? lol

Activision canceled True Crime Hong Kong, Square Enix bought the game license and changed it to Sleeping Dogs.

I'm still not too happy about the name change but at least the game will see the light of day which is a plus.

Just started the game.

I played it for a couple weeks. Anything bad I say about this game is nitpicking. As a whole package, it's perfect. It has the right amount of fighting, shooting, driving and even free running. I actually felt like just driving around to check out the scenery, look for power ups, get into random fights, check out the "massage parlors", and I could enter missions and dates whenever I wanted. Under the covers, it was missing some polish. For instance, pull someone out of their car and get into it, but don't drive away, get back out. The driver walks away like a normal pedestrian. But that scenario doesn't come up much and isn't really needed, but this and other things could have been added. Anyway I really liked the story, the characters and the gameplay and that's all that really matters. The driving physics were great because all the cars felt different, and I appreciated that and worked hard to net the money for better cars just to see how much better or worse they handled.
