That's kind of the problem with the US and their gun laws.
Sure it's great to be able to easily get a gun so you can protect your home and family, but when some wacko decides to go postal people wished they didn't had left the guns at home :\

I think they should really tweak their gun laws

It just so happens that Colorado's gun laws aren't very strict. It doesn't seem like you need any permit to get a gun.

you mean like be able to carry concealed firearms? yeah my friend said if everyone in a school carried a gun it would deter someone from doing a school shooting (college and uni not high schools ofcourse)

There are a lot of stories where crimes are stopped by armed citizens. They don't get nearly as much coverage though, as mass death pulls in far better ratings.
