Suggestions for mouspads?

This is one of those things that seems to get filed in the "personal preference" category, but I think there are some advantages to having one if your desk isn't exactly the best surface in the world and you need something consistent for Photoshop and gaming. I'm also looking for suggestions on hard mousepads that have surfaces that won't dull or peel off over time.

I personally use a red soft mouse pad. It is dirty, but that happens when you use it for nearly four years and you put mugs on them.

I plan on getting one good one that will last a while. I'm thinking about this one since I don't think i've got much space to work with.



Also looking at the sphex from Razer, but not sure about the size.

My mouse is an old optical (2004) and is finicky with surfaces. It disklikes my solid black mouse pad and my wooden desktop, so I've glued a square from an old pair of jeans over the pad. Works great.
