I don't listen to much in the way anime ost/weaboo music, but I've been listening to the Ao no Exorcist OST, and it's epic.

Haven't even watched the anime.

Even on a first listen, I could tell how technical it was. Few can play music like that.

That's with their new lead vocal. All there prior stuff was very experimental. An example of what they used to sound like:

Vocals are definitely different.

The lead guitar starting at 2:33 is intense.

Is it worth checking out their previous albums? Or should I just stick with their new one?

Nocturne (2006) is a pretty decent album. Midheaven (2008) is garbage, it takes "experimental" to a whole new level, one that I don't like. Their latest one, Digital Veil (2011), is their best yet with the new vocalist.
