predictable, well for dragon age II it was, the story was linear too and offered no deviation in the story to create an alternate ending or whatever

Ehh, well I was speaking more to the tropes used than the method of telling the story. The reason I passed on it originally was because it sounded like generic western fantasy with elves, dragons, castles and kingdoms under fire from some singular great evil. This 'plot' has become tiresome, and is currently my main turn-off when it comes to diving into another western fantasy game.
