Moretsu Uchuu Kaizoku

Summary:
* Based on a light novel series titled Miniskirt Uchuu Pirates by Sasamoto Yuuichi with illustrations by Matsumoto Noriyuki
Marika is a first year high school student living in a far away galaxy known as Uminoakeboshi. One day she finds out that her recently deceased father was once the captain of the space pirate ship called the Bentenmaru. More importantly, the only one to inherit the captain's title has to be a direct descendant - meaning that Marika is next in line to become the captain of the ship!

anyway why does the backstory remind me of american war for independence where the american colonies issued the right for privateers *cough*pirates*cough* to attack british ships and loot them

ok well i liked it, i like space themed things and pirates.....

This show is taking its sweet time to develop. I hope it goes somewhere cause I like the character designs and its been a while since there has been a good space show that didn't involve giant robots.

^ Well, it's still ongoing so I can't really say anything about the end yet.

I will say that I've been enjoying this series. I can't really tell you why, I just have been. It's probably the characters and the concept of a high school girl being a space pirate that for whatever reason I find entertaining.

well to me it just felt a little off that though theyre pirates.....there wasnt a lot of action so i was dissapoint

The action really comes and goes. Thats part of the shows confusion. You really never know what sort of show its going to be next week.

I'm currently loving this whole normal crew is sick / find replacement temp crew arc. Really funny.
