Haven't visited the GT website since they got rid of factions but I hope their youtube channel stays up, I still watch their reviews on there occasionally.

I think I only visited GT once or twice in the last few years and only because I was curious if my account still existed (it didn't) and honestly I think the site was kinda shit. But I still had fond memories of that site. I met some very close friends because of the site. I'll miss the site.

Yeah I would only go on GT for the E3 streams cause I preferred their stream over the ones playing on twitch, but eventually stopped going there even for that.
I'm actually extremely surprised at how upsetting this news is for me, though I guess it should make sense as I did spend most of my teenage life as a regular there. I think I joined in early '06? Oh well, I guess it was GT's time to go. It's been slipping for a long time and other sites have become bigger as they found newer and better ways to stay relevant.

I would feel a lot sadder if they didn't already nuke the old forums years ago because then I'd be tangibly losing something I could've at least gone back to to look up old shit for nostalgia's sake or find ancient posts from Nobel back when he put "xD" at the end of every sentence.

Shame we can't view old threads from AF, I really wanted to look through all those Hurt n' Heal threads (Major basically always winning and Naruto characters getting killed early lol) .
It was a pretty awesome place back in 2006-2009 with so many weekly/monthly events, It was a great period for anime as well so there was always so much discussion going on.
