I just spent a 5 day weekend playing it and I only reached Novigrad on sunday.

My 770's doing okay at a mix of high/ultra settings, hasn't burned the house down yet.

I lied, im still in Velen. I mistook the Novigrad gate as actually being in Novigrad.

970 cause of the higher clock speeds and stuff. Apparently the missing 512 only affects games if you play them at a higher resolution than 1920x1080. Just wait for AMD to announce their new cards(which should be soon). The Nvidia 980 might drop down in price.

Im surprised my 570 can even run this game on medium-ish.

Yeah Witcher 3 is great just wish it had Futas. Futas are under represented in western games.

I remember them dropping like $50 when the 9 series came out in fall last year. Still I wouldn't bother upgrading till the new, "support all features of DX12" cards come out, well unless you have a card that's really struggling. AMD is going to release a long overdue all new GPU come late summer early fall and Nvidia sometime next year, I'd wait.

Not all the time. I think prices usually drop when either AMD or Nvidia release an equivalent card to their competitor's. But again, doesn't always happen.

AMD's 3xx series cards are suppose to go up against the 980 or something like that.
