Makoto Tsukimoto (nicknamed Smile) is a quiet high-schooler who's been friends with the loud and energetic Yukata Hoshino (nicknamed Peco) since childhood. They're both in the local table tennis club and both have a natural talent for it, although Smile's personality always prevents him from winning against Peco. The club teacher, however, notices Smile's talent and tries to make him gain some sportive tenacity.

Easily my favorite show this season. Also. Never forget.

Same man, I'm liking it all, it doesn't seem like your run of the mill sports shounen anime, which is good.

Watched the first episode and it seems pretty neat.

You should watch Kemonozume, which is another Masaaki Yuasa anime. It pretty much looks like it was drawn by someone with parkinsons.

It's an adaptation, and the Manga ended here.

Might read the manga seeing as the ending will probably be more fleshed out. What anime is your sig Topgun?

The sig is Wizard Barristers which I have not watched fully and do not recommend, it just had some nice animation there.

As for the Manga being more fleshed out, it isn't.

Good ending to a pretty decent series. Really liked it.
